Weeks 5-6 Pupdate!

Weeks 5 and 6
Wow! Time is flying by. As the puppies grow each week they become more and more active and are turning into little adventurers (although they still love being with mom).
Once puppies turn 5 to 6-weeks-old, they’re developing a wide range of facial expressions. They’re also gaining more adult-like motor skills, weaning off mom’s milk, and moving to solid kibble. They’re confident exploring large spaces and new things, are getting better at potty training, and begin to greet their siblings by sniffing their noses and tails. They’ve also gained a lot more awareness of their relationships with humans.
The puppies love playing in the yard!

Week 4 Pupdate
February 2, 2026
All the pups are doing well and growing so fast this week! We have started weaning them and they will be fed puppy food 3 times a day until they are 8 weeks and we can wean them fully off their mother. They are slowly being introduced to the outdoors in a puppy pen in our garden while they get used to outside things.
**We still have 3 males available to adopt**
Week 3 Pupdate
Week 3 in the lives of our Bernese Mountain Dog puppies!
January 26, 2026
All the pups are healthy and doing well this week! First little puppy steps are being taken and we have expanded their puppy pen area so they can play more. This week we will start potty training the pups to a litter box.
We hope to get better photos of the puppies next week outdoors and some videos of them running around a bit if it warms up here , but it has been very cold here in Oklahoma with lots of snow, so the adult dogs enjoyed being outside but the pups stayed warm in the house!
We have started the puppies on wormer and will be worming them about every week while are young, every two weeks when they get a little older, until they go to there new forever homes in March, which is not that far away! Next Pupdate will be February 2, as we try to do one every Monday! We don’t have social media, so check here for updates!
**We still have 5 males available to adopt**
Week three of a puppy's life: Playing and teething
Week three sees strengthening of both front and back legs and puppies at this stage are now able to fully support their own body. This means they’re able to explore their world and play begins in earnest! They’ll start by playing and investigating with their brothers and sisters and will be less reliant on their mum; no longer needing to seek her out to keep warm. In addition, this is the week where their sharp little puppy teeth start to appear! Those teeth will take a few weeks to develop fully, but they can bite their littermates playfully. Though still far from weaning, the growth of puppy teeth marks their transition to the first chewing phase and eventual switch to solids.
Mid-January Puppy Update!
We are happy to say all the puppies are doing well and are very healthy! A few have already opened their eyes! They are growing so fast and getting so big.
On Wednesday the 21, the puppies will be 2 weeks old! We are so grateful to have found loving homes for 5 of the puppies to go home to in March! 7 males are still available! It will be so exiting to watch these puppies grow over the next few weeks!
Buck is a proud father, and he is spending his Sunday afternoon babysitting!
